Being a reader, a writer, an artist, or even just a pleasure-seeker (a lover of all things indulgent) should be used as an asset in pursuing wellness.

Hi, I’m Rhea.

I’m a writer by profession as well as a certified nutrition coach.

I have spent the last four years developing my wellness platform NovelBody in the very same way I craft a novel or a film script;

with the understanding that my client is:

  • a dynamic and compelling main character

  • whose life is a gripping plot

  • who expresses authentic emotions

  • who has been through unique experiences

  • who has a distinct voice that needs to be heard

One thing every film writer learns is that every bit of action or dialogue should move the story forward, and this includes both achievements and setbacks. Afterall, the best characters go through major ups and downs, only to rise up and win in the end.

NovelBody programs are rooted in evidence-based nutrition practices brought to life through the power of storytelling and presented in an educational format.

I want to take you back to school in terms of your nutrition,

and make it efficient, captivating, and thought-provoking.

Traditional Library

For readers, writers, artists, and other creatives and innovators - our work and/or hobbies often have us sitting for countless hours everyday, staring at screens, maybe mindlessly consuming foods we don’t even care about.

While we work on something great for the benefit of others, our own minds and bodies may unfortunately pay the price.

Many of us have strong visual and analytical abilities, so while we can picture a better life where we make all the right choices, putting that vision into daily practice is quite the challenge.
We may easily fall into the trap of fantasizing, but when it’s time to go out and actually do it, we run into obstacles.

This was my problem for almost half my life.

I come from a family of health enthusiasts who value everything in balance -nourishing the body, nurturing the mind, and indulging every once in a while.

But certain situations led me to gain weight at a young age even though I grew up with all the knowledge of being healthy.

The way my body reacted (or failed to react) towards dieting and exercise was once the greatest unsolvable mystery of my life.

As a young adult, I loved to obsess.

I loved to visualize and manifest and then take things to extremes; I would make unrealistic and futile resolutions (like “cut out all sugar” or “learn to do the splits in 5 days”) and then when things didn’t go according to plan, it all came crumbling down and I’d retreat to my comfort zone - TV and chocolate.

Then I started appreciating balance, but even that didn’t work.

A little discipline here, a little indulgence there left me in a plateau.

I ended up in a cycle that had me gaining, losing, and regaining the same 30lbs throughout different phases of my life.

That’s when I realized that life will always be split into phases.

There will always be a time to celebrate and a time to work hard, a time for structure and unexpected times.

Like a film character whose life is so enthralling that their story needs multiple sequels, I too needed to embrace the dynamic phases in my life and work alongside them instead of waiting for the perfect moment when all the stars align and my work, hobbies, social events, cravings, and genetics can co-exist without obstacles, so that I can work to get healthier.

That just wasn't going to happen.

Embracing a dynamic life while pursuing any goal requires the following:

  • structure

  • practice

  • accountability

  • patience

  • consistency

Even just a small dedication to each of the above principles is all that's needed to practice good habits while still living your life.

When I started to practice the above principles with ease, I took the Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification and then set out to create something that wasn't there for me when I needed it most - a DAILY interactive nutrition program that offered all of the above in just mere moments of a day, didn't cost hundreds of dollars, and could be applied to almost any phase of life. â€‹

Moreover, rather than spoon feeding general rules, or trying to be overly "logical",

I tap into the instinctive and creative side of my clients and use it as a tool to help them stay comfortably consistent, break negative cycles, and get healthier in any way they possibly can. Even the littlest of actions have great impact.

It may only take a single dedicated phase, but the rewards can hopefully last a lifetime.

Writer’s block (or any similar circumstance) can be torture, and can affect many aspects of our lives from our health and career goals to our relationships and personal goals.

When there’s so much going on in our lives, we may prefer an innovative, non-competitive and nurturing environment in order to get healthier quietly and consistently.

That's NovelBody in a nutshell.
